Fast Ag Air specializes in agricultural aerial applications to help farmers optimize crop yields and protect their fields from pests and diseases in Northeast South Dakota, Western Minnesota, and Montana.

SERVICES
Fast Ag Air provides aerial applications of herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, liquid fertilizers, pre-emergent herbicides, spring and fall pastures, and fly control.
We work closely with other applicators providing the ability to rely on other planes and pilots from across the country to assist with fast, timely applications during periods of major insect or disease outbreaks that threaten the yield and quality of area crops.
Fast Ag Air also has a fungicide on corn and soybean program that has recently shown an average increase of 17 bu/acre in corn and 6 bu/acre in soybeans.
All airplanes utilize GPS to ensure field and application accuracy. A flow control system is used to ensure a steady distribution of products by automatically adjusting the flow rate based on aircraft ground speed.

Why Aerial Application?
Aerial application contributes to higher yields as it is non-disruptive to the crop due to being treated from above and not within.
Not only is aerial application three times more efficient than utilizing a ground rig but airplanes also do not contribute to topsoil runoff. Since airplanes are able to accomplish a higher work load in a shorter amount of time, products are able to be applied within peak time frames for maximum results, despite field conditions.

ABOUT US
Fast Ag Air, formerly known as Thompson Farm Air of Estelline, SD, was established in March of 2016 and relocated to Watertown, SD.
We provide aerial application services to South Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, and other surrounding states as requested.
While now based out of Watertown, SD - Fast Ag Air still operates out of the Estelline, De Smet, Summit, and Webster sites and are looking to service more of the Brookings and Aberdeen areas.
The Fasts have additional flight sites in Benson, Glenwood, and Brooten MN and Circle MT.
How It All Started
Thompson Farm Air had been in operation since 1993 before being purchased by current owners Brady and Valerie Fast. Brady had flown for prior owners, Scott and Donna Thompson. Scott and Donna continue to be great family friends and provide insight on operations.
Brady graduated from Iroquois, SD in 2003 and went on to serve in the US NAVY as an airplane mechanic. He served in two F/A 18 squadrons, VFA-125 and VFA 25.
After 5 years of service with orders in hand to report to the "Blue Angels", Brady decided it was time to go home and pursue his Ag Pilot career.
He went on to earn his pilot's license from Lake Area Tech in Watertown. Then he worked for Scott and Donna as a loader/dispatcher until he had enough hours to start spraying. He then worked as a pilot for Scott until taking over in 2016.
Additionally, Brady is a member of the NAAA (National Agricultural Aviation Association), SDAA (South Dakota Aviation Association), AOPA (Aircraft Owner's Pilot's Association), and Operation Safe Pattern Testing. Brady participates in pattern testing at a minimum annually.
